Which onions to sow now

If you want seeds Garden Organic have Keepwell and Shenshyu. If it's sets your after Shenshyu and Radar for whites and Electric for reds. I personally like Radar and Electric but the Keepwell did just that. I think there is a white variety (silvermoon?) which can be Autumn planted.

There are a few seeds that can be sown now for overwintering, you will have to search the seed companies online to find them, One I have grown in the past is called Hi-keeper, think it was from Marshalls there is also at least one red one. I am going with sets this year and have ordered a multi pack of 300 for just under �12 inc postage, three different varieties including a red one. Should be here in the next month or two.

I am sewing Suttons North holland Bloodred Redmate which you can sew September, Harvest March April time, give me a shout if you want some seeds.

The ones I sewes are coming along fine.

I've just sown some Senshyu seeds a couple of days ago. I will also grow some from sets as they did really well for me last year.

Senshyu was the 'original' japanese onion and although i've tried others i still think it is the best!
