Hiya Alan - although many mushrooms can be quite easy to identify (and many are VERY tasty, OH forages loads) it's difficult from a photo, especially when you can't see the gills or stem. If you want to get into foraging then I suggest you buy a decent starter book. There's loads about, the River Cottage one being one of them otherwise it can be all too easy to get it wrong.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Thanks Alison, I looked in the book I've got and it looked like a Horn of Plenty,but there is also a clump of them nearby that look like 'normal' mushrooms.Looks like its time to update my library for something a bit more detailed.My wifes a HF-W fan so I'll have a look through her stuff. Thanks again. Alan
