erm i suppose it depends on how long ago you planted it?
mine has been in pots for about 2 - 3 weeks, and i moved it today, the roots were lovely, planted it out into ridged beds.Vive Le Revolution!!!'Lets just stick it in, and see what happens?'

if it was me, and I know nothing, i would at least wait until they showed signs of life before moving them.Originally posted by hawthorns View Postits been in about 10 days. no shoots have poked thru yetVive Le Revolution!!!'Lets just stick it in, and see what happens?'

Nah, you can move them anytime. The growing energy is stored in the bulb - I've moved both onions and garlics several times during the year and they just carry on a few weeks later. if they have deep roots then try and move them all but 10 days is nothing.

The golden rule when moving something, is to do it when it's dormant (or at least not when it's growing like mad).Originally posted by BrideXIII View Postif it was me, and I know nothing, i would at least wait until they showed signs of life before moving them.
