  • HELP... veg,weed or flower?????

right i think these first ones are veg, but as i thought i'd be able to remember what i planted i didn't bother to label them durrrrrrr ...... i also put them in nice neat rows, but something has definitely gone weird, one bed has lovely neat rows, and are easily identifiable, the next bed with different stuff in it seem to be all mixed up and as i don't actually know what they are, i'm very confused so any help with identification means i can pull up the ones that are weeds if any ..... or look forward to them turning into some random veg lol

i'm sure i planted parsnips, cucumber, melon, cauli or broccoli but possibly sweetcorn or lettuce or maybe something else lol (i know which the cauli/broccoli are, and theres 3 other types of seedlings. either veg or weed.

    number 1

    number 2

    number3

these are in the flower bed, dunno if they are weeds or flowers, have no idea what i planted where ....... yep no labels again, and some weird flowers, and some normal ones ..... but weed identification is more important than flower identification, as some of them are quite big and if they are weeds, i want to remove them.

    number 4

need to put the rest on a reply below as too many pics

well that should keep you going for a bit, i'd bog off to the pub, but i'm too knackered from planting caulis, and pulling up identifiable weeds lol ....... any help would be very much appreciated, thanks

Hello Lynda, the second plant in part 2 - green with white stripe in the middle looks like dead nettle, so unless you planted it it's a weed.
The fourth image looks like rosebay willow herb - another weed.
Sorry can't be sure about the rest but someone else will be along.

Don't do that - it's great for the bees!!!

It does get very big tho Lynda, so you might want to move it to where it has some space.

it's saved, it should be ok where it is, unless it grows to 6 foot wide as well as tall lol.

                            2) courgette ......... that would be ok too, but i'm sure i only planted courgettes indoors, not in that bed .... i'm sure it must be cucumber, but might be wrong, usually am lol .... don't care, i love both probably won't get anything off it anyway.
                            3) Fat Hen (weed) ....... damn .... they must have come in the compost, not buying any more from poundstretchers
                            4) Hollyhock .... very happy, theres 4 of these come up
                            5) weed ....... bugger
                            6) Lamium (weed) ...... consider it removed, no more weeding round this one.
                            7) don't know
                            8) weed - looks like euphorbia.....weird, there was tons of this variety of euphorbia in the garden when i moved in, and i chucked it over the hedge at the back, this year it's come up again and theres loads of it .... but there are some very different varieties i notice .... http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/KMA...064181_506.jpg
                            Euphorbia myrsinites

                            9) looks lettuce-y ...... it's definitely not lettuce, cos i haven't been near the front garden with lettuce or compost.
well the good thing is, i'm not as daft as i look, cos some of you would have left the weeds and pulled the veg too lol........ bummer that i've been getting all excited over weeds though.

you said the plants are all mixed up, might it have been foxes or dogs diggind teh bed?

I have carrots growing in different places all ove rthe raised bed thanks to fox cubs playing in the bed and burying an old glove
