    cabbages,sprouts and cauliflower.

    ok i have been checking my cabbages and sprouts, and in the middle of them is this horrible green gunge and little egg type things, are these the dreaded catapillers? and also do the catapilers poo in the veg....... i was discusted when i went to look at them and i saw all that.

    so any info on this would be great.

    Your observations are spot on,welcome to the world of the cabbage white butterfly.

      Yes the green gunge is caterpillar poo, which will wash off very easily although it doesn't look very nice. The eggs are a yellow collour and if you can see them then it is more than likely another batch waiting to hatch out. Get the thumb and finger working and get squishing.

        If you fill a sprayer with water and set it to jet instead of spray you should be able to wash most of it off.
