  • Anyone heard of Veg Swap?

If so, what do you think of it
If not, take a look here

My pal alerted me to this just now, seems it was covered on the radio but I missed it

Mods, not sure if this should be here or in Chat?

only 43 items available, and a lot of them look like repeats of the same few persons

Great idea but nothing close to me (nearest one is 41 miles away!)

Just checked it out and there are only really seeds for swapping locally to me - and I can do that right here on the Vine.

Any surplus veg I have (which isn't much), I give to friends and family.

I appreciate it's a fledgling idea, but I don't think it's a grower - if you'll forgive the pun. Good luck to them though, I'm all for people trying new ideas.

Good idea in principle, but nothing even close to me and even 50 miles away, it's just seeds. Ah well. I do see veg from time to time on Freecycle and I give away to friends, family and as freecycle 'Thank Yous', so not sure I'd use it much.
