  • 5 days hols' help with plants please.

    Hi, can anyone help please?

I'm going away for 5 days, from Thursday and unfortunately I have 8 PSB and 8 sprouts nearly ready to go out. They are in 3" pots at the moment and I have had them outside for nearly a week. I don't really know what to do with them now.

Would I be OK to put them on a tray, in their pots still, give them a real good watering and put them in the shade, also putting an insect net over them? Then hoping for the best.

I don't have a green house and I didn't want to plant them out on the plot because being new to the site I think it would be cheeky to ask someone to look after them for me. Also they will probably be going away for Easter as well.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (as far as the plants go that is!) xx

Same here- maybe mulch around them or fleece them up if you are really worried

Yep get them in. This year is exceptional, the weather being so mild, I'm about 2 months ahead of this time last year.

As you have hardened them off I would plant them out but protect them from slugs/snails and net/fleece them so the birds don't have a meal. As others have said they are tough but with the cold spell forecast for next weekend the birds may be looking for easy pickings...
