  • Our home made grow barn

this is my very first attempt of picture posting
these are of what we have named as the, GROW BARN,
last year we collected some very large palets,DH took them to pieces, then we had given a load of plastic from scaffolding,so an idea was born,i drew up a plan,we sorted out the variouse sizes of wood, and cut them up accordingly,it took a few weeks to screw together, and some tweeking of the design along the way,but the end result is better than we hoped for,it's 10 x 18 foot
ooooh, done it,but sorry some are wrong way up,got to get help with it lol,see son again, lol
the first 1 is the main frame,3 the inside and the rest finished,
it was hard work and a head ache in how to construct it,but hey we got there, don't know how long the cover will last,it's suck it and see,
just to add,i made the vent, ziped windows both end of the eaves for ventilation, the green is some scaffold/debri netting, and the door is in two bits,so the bottom half can be kept closed of a barmy evening, thus venting it some more

Fantastic LD, I wish my oh was as handy, he doesn't know one end of a screwdriver from another. My GH is bursting at the moment and I'm developing a nasty case of Polytunnel envy, your barn looks even better.

Now that is seriously good - I have plans for something like that but just haven't had the time or inclination to do anything about it - think it's inspired me to build something.

Looks great and good ideas for the internal lay out.

How cool is that - well done. I'm sure all your headaches and hard work will by justly rewarded - and don't be surprised if you get commissions to build more of them for people. Could be the start of a nice wee earner.

That is pretty impresive lottie dolly. Just goes to show that you don't need to spend a fortune to grow veggies!

Suitably impressed with the interior design of the beds also. Now all it needs is to be planted up.

Any idea what you are planting it up with?
