  • Heater for pollycarb GH

    Hi All
I have an 8X6 pollycarbinate GH. I have no power in it. What kind of heater would you suggest?

    Thanks for any replys

You've really only got two options, paraffin or Propane. Propane is cleaner but dearer to run.

Dunno about that Snadge. Dearer to set up with Propane maybe, but I've found it cheaper to run than paraffin: Heater cost me £100, gas bottle cost £35 (incl. deposit). 1 refill is enough to keep the greenhouse (12ft x 6ft) at an average of 10c or above for 2 months, which costs £20 - £25. To do the same with a paraffin heater would cost at least £5 a week, usually more, and there's no thermostat on a paraffin heater, you just have to light it and hope for the best...
