Default the slug grabber!!

cant stand the thought of picking a slug up with your fingers (even in gloves) then get a peg and clamp it around the slug and put it into the salty water bucket at the top of the garden!!!

try it, it works a treat

great tips. keep 'em coming people...i caught a cheeky little bugger eating all my baby spring onions..stripped 'em bare, it had. and it was stuck to one it had already half-devoured ... so, i grabbed it, and speared it with a pointy piece of wood and cable-tied it to the top of the bird table in sacrifice to the birds. and to serve as a warning to all others who DARE eat my plants while they're not big enough to fend for themselves...apologies to anyone who is offended by this. but it just had to be done...

You can, of course, just season them where they are ... but don't waste best rock salt on them, table will do. And don't stand on them in bare feet in the morning.

You could always borrow my cav king charles puppies. They seem to find nothing better to do than hunt down slugs in the garden

....

But then they bring them in rather chewed

I just pick them up drop them in a pile and stamp on them. Birds get a treat without any chemicals. Then go back in and scrub hands. May be yucky but it's quick and easy and I'm no good at balancing them on something else - not enough co-ordination!
