Last time there was a lunar eclipse we drove up into the hills at silly o'clock in the morning, idea was to get above the cloud. It was so cold and windy my camera was shaking on the tripod and the pictures were rubbish, so I may just have an early night instead.

We're forecast clear skies so when I get up during the night, as usual I'll try to remember to have a look!

I won't be seeing it. Very cloudy and rainy and windy. Not looking like it's going to clear any time soon.
I'd set my alarm for that as well.

          Cloudy here too, sadly.

It's cloudy here too, but if I wake up in the night, I'll have a look... No alarm - I like my sleep far too much for that

I'll be asleep - its not the amount of cloud cover but of duvet cover that's important to me.

Went up into the hills to the spot where we went last time, fortunately there's way too much cloud and we are now sat by the fire.

                  It's cleared a bit. There's half a chance we'll see something

Happened to wake up just after the darkest part of the eclipse;-)

It was very cold down here at 04:00ish.
Got a couple of shots but camera was playing up and tripod was winning by two pinfalls! I should have set the remote as it was so sensitive to poor light on 300mm lens. On shorter lens it was a pinprick. iPhone was like sandstorm.https://www.flickr.com/photos/103667.../shares/01riu0

                        Lovely photo, Burnie, regardless.

I've just watched the moon rising tonight - its huge and so bright. The sky is so clear there are lots of stars too.
I'm not brave enough to stay outside for long - too blummmin cold.
