  • Wanted - seeds for charity fund raising

I was wondering if any Grapes have seeds they would be willing to donate for a charity fund raising event(sae if required). At school we have been asked to come up with ideas for an eco-friendly business to raise money for charity. The idea is still in its infancy but my tutor group want to hold a 'Farmers Market' specialising in free range eggs (contacting farms etc for donations)herbs and veg plants staff can buy to grow on. We are going to use recycled containers to grow our plants, with reduced food miles etc, and need seeds. I am using whatever I can find, and my tutor group are asking parents, but most do not normally grow anything, so there is not likely to be much response, though the kids are willing to plant. I think it will be a good way to get kids into growing too.
We have around 8 weeks, so there will be time for decent sized plants to sell. Please PM me if you think you could help.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Thanks to those who have donated. The kids are quite excited, the most enthusiasm I've ever seen from them to be honest (except when they wanted to 'pie the teacher' for our last charity effort' . Amazingly we had plenty of teacher volunteers, but we couldn't find a venue ). We have already started to plan what we will grow on the windowsills.

Hi, I know it is not veg, but i have a lot of self saved sunflower seeds that i could send for the kids to grow, they are a mixture of yellow, red and giant. Please pm me if you are interested in some for the school.
