I will have 4 large blackcurrant bushes (4ft high or so, about 4-5 years old) available in Surrey, if anyone fancies them once they've gone dormant.

Wow Swaine

You are very fruity! I only have a 2 varieties of raspberries (joan and admiral malling) and gooseberries (one red and green!). I am just propagating the strawberries at the moment.
I would love a couple more different raspberry and gooseberries plants. I dont think my offerings are impressive enough for you.

Cheers

Shush

if you have any spare rasberries, or anything else really, I'd be grateful. I've little to offer in return - (10 strawberry plants of indeterminate variety?) but it is for a good cause!

Hi there, I am after a tayberry if you have one, well most soft fruit to be honest. At present I have some spare strawberry plants (not sure which variety will find out) and a hairless gooseberry which I am yet to take any cuttings from, if they are of any use to you.

That is a lot of fruit on offer. Sadly I don't have any fruit to swap with you, but hope you find something interesting.

I have been facinated by thimbleberries since a walking holiday in British Columbia. It appears that you are the only one who can supply these in the UK. I have a few wild strawberry plants if you are interested. Would thimbleberries gro in North Lincolnshire?

Hi Swaine,

Just noticed your thread. Is there anything other than fruit you would like? I am just starting to grow fruit so have four blueberries, one blackcurrant, one redcurrant and raspberry. Pitiful eh! Even sadder is I have ordered in a fruit cage. So, I have a whole load of veg seeds, mostly heritage varieties, some are also Eden Project varieties. Will be more than happy with anything especially unusuals.

Well, I've not PMd anyone as I don't have any fruit thingys to swap, but if anyone has a cutting of any fruits going spare, then I'd love to try to grow em on. I got my lottie in late May (well officially in June but another plothlder was letting me in) and I've been working hard to clear it. I dug over 5 beds and planted them out straight away, and since that have dug over the rest of the plot and have planned whats going in there next year, and I'm left with a nice long strip near the hedge that I thought I might grow raspberries and the like. I got a redcurrent from Lidl for 64p, so hoping to get that out soon and got a whitecurrent from Wilkos for 69p but thats about it. I'm happy to pay P&P as I've got nothing to offer back

Hi just found this thread so I dont know if I am too late. Can I have anything you have left. I tried growing blackcurrants from cuttings this year. Someone gave me 4 sticks and told me to put them in a pot. Which I did and they died are they really that easy to grow? I dont have any fruit but may have some Alpine strawberries next year. Stella

I have many types strawberry runners - have symphony, cambridge favorite and another early one whose name escapes me at the moment. I would love some raspberry if you still have any.

I have an awful lot of strawberry plants - PM me and let me know where you're based, as they're not bare-root so we may need to organise collection.

There are several varieties but I'm not sure which plants are which. Also have a few pink flowered ones.

Would love a tayberry.

I'm also in the same situation as one of the above posters-I've tried growing soft fruit and failed.

If after the swop anyone is willing to swap soft fruit cuttings for bog standard seeds please keep me in mind (as I have no soft fruits to swop!).

Edited to add: I'm open to offers of any soft fruits-ta!

Hi Stew,

I would love a collection of different soft fruits suitable for a novice.

I only have Passionfruit cuttings(?does that count as a soft fruit?) and 'frais de bois' runners to swap, but I also make homemade jam, jelly, cordials and flavoured oils if that might tempt you..... and of course I would be happy to pay postage for any cuttings.

Thanks, Red.

If anyone else has any soft fruit cuttings they are able to swop for seeds (I'm afraid I have no fruit bushes) could you let me know as I'm eager to get some fruit going.

Cheers folks!
