| OK, so I have a whole load of early pots requiring attention. I know potatoes aren't reknowned for their freezing potential, but does anyone have any techniques or recipes I could use. Someone mentioned a crushed roast potato recipe on the chat last night, but I only read that this morning, so couldn't ask about it; sounded nice though... |

| Waffler - I had alot of Charlottes last year and posted a similar question, and can't remember who, suggested parboiling them, tossing in butter and then freezing. I did this and they made THE most beautiful roast potatoes in the winter. In just chucked them in to a small amount of hot olive oil whilst still frozen and 30 minutes later, beautiful crisp roasties. I also did the same with some first earlies which got a bit nibbled by slugs and I had to cut them up into small bits. |
