  • Isn't life jolly!!!!!

Car failed its MOT which means I've got a 7 mile walk or bike each way to the lottie each day.
Chooks are eating loads which means I must get them some more layers pellets very soon.........without a car.
Someones's nicking my eggs from my honesty box again.
One of my oldies has decided to go broody in an old box with a soggy bottom and she'll have to be moved.
Two of my other oldies (4 year olds) have started laying even though they are in full molt. The eggs are massive but i'd rather they concentrated there energy on growing feathers!

We'll survive though, after all it is Christmas soon!

Must admit, not looking forward to the 2 hr trek each way to the allotment and back!

to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Hmm, racking brain for other forms of transport... or could the chooks move in with you for the duration. It would make it festive: all the beasts in the barn with Mary & Joseph, that kind of thing.

My car isn't that big (a Megane) but, if they'd fit in, I'd be more than happy to pick up and deliver or take you to collect the chicken pellets if it helps. Mondays Tuesdays or Wednesdays are the days I'm most likely to be available. Sorry, I ain't going to volunteer for the daily lottie run though!

Can you borrow a bike then at least you'd get up there in about a quarter of the time?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

You lot are absolutely brilliant. A grape has a whinge and there you all are to cheer him up and put everything into perspective. Cept, at the moment he would rather feel pissed off.

..either that or recovering down on the lottie in preparation for his return trip home

Any news about the car Snadge???
...a while back I'd taken out my subframe without realising it ( don't ask!!) and mine failed it's MOT- had to wait 6 weeks for the part to come from Germany!!...if I'd known that , I'd have jumped on a plane and collected the bits myself!

...hope it's not too much of a serious problem to sort out???

On the up side- if you borrow a bike...cor gals...just imagine the glutes on Sandge by Xmas !!!...phwarrrr

After much weeping and a wailing and gnashing of teeth I am pleased to say my car has now PASSED it's annual MOT (was warned it will be even MORE expensive next year!) so I'm now 'back in business'.

Cancelled the order for the chook bike (Told Two Sheds she can keep her bike as (I know how attached she is to it!)

Broody has decided it was only a one night stand and returned to the flock............., last two lots of eggs I've put in honesty box have been payed for............and life is good!

And now cos I'e got the car back I can go tomorrow morning and stock up on chook food!

Amazing how three little letters like M-O-T can effect your life!

I've been imagining and have almost re-located so I could drive slowly in the rear

Ah well, so much for imagination. Glad you're mobile again Snadger.
