    Tomato plants have developed fern like leaves

    Hi

    Please can anyone help I am a new gardener. My tomatos have been in my greenhouse for 3-4 weeks, for the last week they have developed long leaders that have fern like tips, not proper leaves at all. The look like fern leaves when they are curled up. The lower leaves developed fine.

    Any ideas?

            I have a good few different varieties and the only plant that's doing the ferny foliage thing is Lemon Drp, so I wondered if it was a variety thing ?
            Purple Ukraine did the same thing when I grew that

              Herbicide damage

              Judging by the photos and the bit of research I have done i think it mught be herbicide damage.

                Mine are curly but not stunted like yours. Sorry I think Zaz is right.

                  Did you use manure where you're growing them?

                  If not, have you used weedkiller around them, or in the garden/plot on a windy day? Or perhaps before planting?

                    They really don't look good. What chemicals have you (or anyone else) used near them?

                      I used manure that had a lot of straw in it, but not used any weedkiller around them. I dont know where the manure came from either.

                        They look quite small plants - where are they planted, and why did you use manure. Also it might help if you let us know whereabouts you are. You can add your location to your profile and then it will show up on your posts.
