| For a climbing rose, Zepherin Drouhin is one of the few that will grow in a North facing situation. It's pink, beautifully scented and thornless. Hydrangea Petiolaris will grow north facing. I found it slow growing but have seen it doing well north facing in other places - so worth a try. For ornamentals and edibles - lettuce should be OK, Busy lizzies, Begonia Semperflorens, Hostas, Welsh Poppies (?) - grew there for me, and so many more. Hope you get them to do well.

| Many thanks for all the varied ideas, it has certainly given me a great deal of food for thought. I do appreciate all the time and trouble taken. When the wall takes on a new look then I shall certainly post before and after images of it .... perhaps for marks out of 10! ![]() Happy Tuesday Dreams! Mike

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might flourish in this sort of environment? Herbs? Vegetables? Anything? All advice would be most welcome .... thank you!
