Welcome to the 'vine', blutone. If your grow house is one of these tubular framework and polythene cover thingies, make sure it's tied to something immovable as they are prone to get airborn in strong winds and watch the temperature on hot summer days, because they are small, the temp inside gets very hot very quick.

Welcome Blutone, this place gets really addictive, a bit like growing your own I suppose

I've just put up my 4 tier greenhouse thingy, and Mr LJ is going to fasten it to the house with some curtain wire and hooks, so he tells me!

It's fairly sheltered but I don't want to take any chances! I've just moved my chitting potatoes into it! more light and much cooler than the utility room window.

Welcome blutone. I cant condone your choice of team however you did us a big favour a short while ago.
Be very careful with your growhouse, I lost one earlier on this year. I tied it down, put soil and gravel and even sleepers on the base, and it still went. Not only did the plastic go, but the metal frame was trashed as well.
Enjoy the vine though, very friendly

your situation sounds exactly like mine!

this is my first post, so i'm spending it on you

i'm getting old because i never got the point of green stuff. but now i'm hooked!

not even started yet though(apart from having tatties chitting away on me windowsill)...i'm beginning to think that i've left everything too late...and i'm thinking that everything is just gunna be a flop...

oh, and i'm REALLY intrigued by the thought of lunar planting.

anyways. good luck

Mine blew away as well, ruined a load of little radishes. Have tried weighing it down again and moved it further down the garden (hopefully more sheltered). Wish I had room for a real greenhouse!

Hi Citygirl, welcome to the forum. Which city? (just being nosy) Certainly not too late for starting most things off, the season's hardly started yet.

Hi

well, i might have to keep that a bit under-wraps for the time being...just till i see how the land lies, like

i'll just say this...the growing season might have only just begun, but ours might well be over, lol

i don't really wanna derail or take over the Blutone's thread...so i might end up becoming a bit of a clueless pest round these parts
