    Brussel Sprout seedlings

    Hi All, it is the first time I have ever tried to grow brussels and I am not having much luck so far. Most of my seedlings leaves are turning to a pale yellow/green and looking transparent. One of the baby leaves seems to have a white look to it. Any help appreciated

    UPDATE - I just gone to check my tomatoes and a few of their baby and main leaves are silvery and see through... could it be too much direct and warm sunshine on their leaves. They have been outside harding off...

    Welcome to the Vine Raindance.
    I can't say for sure but seedlings turning white usually means they have been exposed to really cold weather.
    Where are your seedlings.
    Although Brussel Spprouts are very hardy as mature plants seedlings raised in warmth then put in a cold place are not.
    I hope your seedlings will be allright but if not you've plenty of time to start again.

        Sprouts are hardy and should be outside.
        Young seedlings will scorch if sat in bright sunshine (just as we do), esp if leaves are wet.

          Sorry to confuse you Raindance but I wouldn't take them back in, it's not freezing now.
          And as Two Sheds says seedlings behind glass can scorch so maybe that happened to them.
          Mine are outdoors in a cold frame til they grow on a bit.
