    A sad day for us...and many thanks to Bernie (Bearded Bloke)

    We just wanted to let you all know that Bernie has decided to step down from modding after several years of dedication to the Vine.

    We're very sad to see him leave but look forward to his continued humour and contributions.

    Many ,many thanks for everything you have done Bernie- this place wouldn't have run so smoothly without you.

    ( I have a sneaky feeling there may well be a little 'thank you' coming to you in the post!)

          Achh - he said before, he was coming over towards the 'light'.
          Within the week he was back on the dark side.

          If it's true the Gamekeeper is turning Poacher - then it's a big thank you from me for keeping us all on the 'straight and narrow'.

          So - when are the nominations going out to elect the new Mod ?

                            Thank you so much BB for all your work modding on the Vine. It takes a lot to keep us rabble in order Glad to hear you are not disappearing and will still be part of this community.
                            LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                                I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
