    Vietnamese Coriander

    Does anyone know where one may obtain seeds or cuttings for Vienamese coriander (Persicaria odorata)? I have been keeping it on for a few years by taking cuttings in autumn and keeping them in the kitchen window during the winter. Unfortunately, I was away for 3 weeks and there was a 'forgot to water' issue by a beloved individual not to be named. It was quite dead upon my return.

    It seems the company I originally got it from has ceased stocking it and my googles turned up quite expensive results.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

      I bought a plant some years ago and kept it going with cuttings. Really easy to root in water. Never used it in cooking but loved the smell.............and, before you ask, I don't have it now. Sorry

        I used to have some but lost it a few years ago. Lovely stuff.

        Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

        Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

          If I am able to source cutting or seeds, I am happy to send some on to all of you. I quite enjoyed it. Sadly, it just seems to be hard to find now.

            There's this supplier, although you'd have to buy three to comply with a minimum order requirement.

              That's brilliant! Thank you! I don't need 3 but they are about 5 miles from me. I shall contact them to see if I can collect. Would anyone else be interested? I could send on cutting once I get it established.

                  The price is good (about what I paid a few years ago). I just don't need 3 (minimum order). As mentioned above, they are super easy to root from cuttings. Just drop in some water! By biggest problem is the first cutting for the winter gets too massive before the spring!

                      I would love some. This thread cost me a fortune as I went looking but found a load of other seeds instead

                        Have a look at Asian greengrocers, they quite often sell bunches of it cheaply. You can then treat them as cuttings, they root easily. Mine died this winter so that's what I'll be doing. Love the stuff!
