  • Annoyed !!!

For serious gardeners its an all year hobby. So why do we only get TV ads for plants etc during spring and summer. It really gets me cross. Rant over.

TV companies - spring and summer = gardening, autumn and winter = reality TV & celebraty guests who no one has ever heard of.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

To be honest I'm not sure I've ever seen a TV ad for gardening stuff, although maybe I'm immune!
We only seem to get plant related ads through the post (junk mail comes but once a week via the postie) in the spring when I really want to be planting shrubs and the like in the autumn.

There was once a gardening channel on sky that showed great shows like Geoff Hamiltons ornamental kitchen garden. I could watch that program every week and never get bored.

Maybe because that's the best planting time?

I'm not "that" old .. well .. but TV now is really rubbish. Maybe it is a generational thing - but there are a few good series I watch on netflix, and that's it. I do like Game of Thrones, somewhat helped because the location scouts were investigating filming around here - including my land - unfortunately not to be ... .

I watch very little random "TV" as there's just practically nothing on it that interests me - I've slipped back into the bad old habits of actual conversation ....
