Wish I could make it, but a combination of work commitments and living a million miles from anywhere since moving to Lincolnshre prevents me.

I used to love the Harrogate shows. I'm sure everyone that makes it will have a great time.

Never been but am thinking if possibly tying it into a visit to a friend who lives nearby. Am assuming it's similar to Tatton Show?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Ive never been to Tatton Alison, but I do like Harrogate Autumn & Spring shows lots to see & too much to buy & as BB says buy you ticket in advance.

Parking is very well organised you park up & shuttle buses take you up to the entrance & collect from same so you can transport your purchases.

Well spent the weekend helping set up the 'war time' allotment garden for the Spring Show, theme chosen as its 70 years since the end of WW2, what a team we've got everything is looking really good and healthy just hope it survives the shock of being moved into a huge marquee.

Anyone coming along I'm on the stand Thursday, Saturday & Sunday come & say hello.

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
