  • Book Question

I have just finished reading - River Cottage Handbook No 4 Veg Patch by Mark Diacono and I, as an inexprienced grower think it's brilliant.
Not only is it written in a style I, as a numpty can understand but it offers really good advice and even how to eat the various fruit & veggies that are grown.
Has anybody else read this - if so what did you think?

It is really good, I gave a few of the River Cottage handbooks and by far the best are the veg one and the preserve one by Pam the jam. I bought my friend a copy last Christmas too as I'd found it useful.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Yes, I've got the collection and my Mum had it for Christmas last year.

I really like the fact that it includes small space growing - it's the only book I've seen that lists what veg can or would grow in stacked tyres, as well as window boxes etc.
