No, although I do water them in when sowing. Personally I don't soak any seeds, the odd occaision I've been encouraged to do so I've found the rotting rate goes up

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

      Exactly what Alison said ^^^

Actually, I've never heard of soaking pepper seeds.
Some folk soak beans and peas in parafin to deter mice...
or parsnip seeds in water because germination takes so long....

Nope, never heard of soaking pepper seeds.

I don't soak as such, but germinate my chillies and peppers on damp / soggy paper which I suppose is the nearest thing to soaking.

The good thing is that you know which ones to pot up.
I usually leave the non germinated ones another week and find a few more successful germination follow.
I'm just impatient to see what's going on and check them every couple of hours or so to watch their progress.
So no...I don't soak my peppers as such.

NEVER soaked 'em. NEVER had any problem with germination. Large hard seeds might need soaking, but not the little thin ones. The key to germinating pepper seeds is plenty of heat: 80F is usually better than 70F but even so, be prepared to wait a couple of weeks.
