  • Feeling Dead Chuffed!!!

After a long and arduous process over the summer (hence my absence on here), I am pleased to announce that Mr Teez and I were approved as Foster Carers this evening!!! Think there will be interesting times ahead!

    Congratulations!

I'm sure there'll be lots of interesting times ahead. My friend is doing the same. They are on their second lot of kids. They got the first one back twice before he was settled somewhere.

I did wonder about doing something like that, even if short term stuff. Soon all my kids will be gone, and I've got so used to having something hormonal roaming around the house

My friends have just adopted three siblings, and they were given a long list of harmful plants which they were not allowed to have in their garden. Did you get a similar list for fostering?

Thank you for your kind comments. Fleurisa, during the process our Social Worker had to check to see if there were any poisonous plants in the garden, but had no idea what may or may not be poisonous. Fortunately I do have a little knowledge in that area, and was able to confidently say that there was nothing in the garden to worry about - unless someone maybe tries to dig up and eat a Daffodil Bulb....

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
