Oak tree help

    Oak tree help

    Hi guy,

    Im sorry this has nothing to do with fruit or veg but could anyone tell me please why my 4/5 year old oak tree has this white stuff on new red leaves? It doesnt seem to be on the other leaves.

    Help would be much appreciated.

    Sorry that's should be the picture of the oak tree now, I obviously didn't look at what photo I was uploading

      Hi Steve. I have some mature English oak trees and the young leaves have a white powdery coating - they always do, every year. I've no idea what it is but it doesn't seem to affect the trees.
      Maybe someone who knows about red oaks will be along shortly
