Strawberry season

Unless you've got alpine or perpetual strawberries, the season is coming to an end.
My strawberries in barrels are now producing the last of their fruits, which are somewhat smaller than they were a few weeks ago.

I live in a fairly warm part of the UK and spring comes a week or two early here. Soooooo........I have a partially-shaded area where I have another wave of strawberries for coming weeks. They're the same varieties as in my barrels on the patio, but the plants in the semi-shade tend to be a month behind the full-sun plants on my patio. The first fruits from the semi-shade will start picking next week, hopefully through until late July. Taste doesn't seem to be affected enough to notice a problem.

After that, it'll just be my alpines to sustain us, but the alpine crops get bigger and better as the season progresses.

My aplines haven't even flowered yet

Though I did only grow them (from seed) early this year. But the plants are big so I'm hoping to get one or two per plant.

Sounds like they're over for this year. Unless you have a perpetual variety which is unlikely, strawberries only crop once in each year. You should cut off the old leaves (not the newly formed ones), barren fruit stems and give the plants a good feed now, if you want a decent crop for next year.
