could any of the more knowledgable amongst the vine please help me with this question. We have three gooseberry bushes that recently have been stripped almost bare by what i can only think is a sawfly infestation. As these plants are first year bushes and havent produced fruit. If i prune them will they come again next year or has the pests ruined them for good. Any answers gratefully recieved. Many Thanks

No they'll grow back OK Nigel. But yo'll need to make sure the little gits get whats coming to them next year or they'll strip it bare again.
