  • To flip or not to flip??

    That is the question....

Do you have trouble sleeping? Do you find yourself waking up in the middle of the night, and the only remedy to a good night's rest is turning that pillow over so that you can feel the cold side on your face. Thought you were the only one who did this? think again. If you experience this same issue night after night, do tell

    share your stories!

I myself tend to flip my pillow and duvet

    Come on people
    do tell

Nothing better than a cold bed. We've still got our 3.5 tog duvet on. Makes snuggling up even better.

I don't like to boast, but I'm red hot in bed. No, honest, ask LadyWayne - I'm like her own private hot water bottle.

Sometimes I'm too hot to touch apparently.

Yes, I flip in the middle of the night, when I've got cold 'cos I've chucked the duvet off (even at this time of year!) then suggle down again and sleep

i'm a flipper, odd though, have to be warm and snuggled, but can't have a hot head or hot feet, so i tend to look a bit like a hotdog rolled up in my duvet, feet hanging out the bottom, head poking out the top.

and on a really pathetic note, i have a fake fur throw, which i CANNOT sleep without, even in the summer, so i have to sleep under just that when its warm.

i can't even move when i'm in bed, never mind flipping ..... since it's got really cold, i often wake up shivering, but with a cat or dog either side, so it's like being like a mummy ...... though i did used to flip when i didn't feel the cold so much (before i got old )

                        Yep - I'm a flipper LOL!

Now it's cold and we live in a shed, I wear trainer socks in bed (feet like ice). Come stupid o'clock and I wake up hot as h*ll and throw the duvet over OH who is usually snoring like the proverbial and totally oblivious.

I have always had a naturally high body temperature (dunno what it's called, if anything) but it means I would have my sleeves pushed up when everyone else has coats, hats and gloves on. Everyone will tell me I look blue with cold and my hands feel like ice, but I'm quite warm inside.

Now though, hot sweats at night - I think it's my age!

I have speakers built into my pillow which are attached to a sound machine which I use to mask my tinnitus so I can't flip. but even before I started using my sound pillow I was not a flipper.

Yep, I'm a flipper too, as is Miss D!! Must be genetic!

Actually, we've got some wonderful memory foam cool touch pillows (NASA technology thingies), were'nt cheap, but they dont get too hot, so are always cool to touch, mould to your head really great (only need 1 pillow of this type) and since we've had them they've been wonderful, wouldnt swap them for the world!
