Just don't do it with kids in tow. Usually I get 'So, why isn't it STEALING' when I have the OH's 11 yr old with me.

About 40 odd years ago Kew had a new Fuschia on display, only 3 in the country.

My Dad took me there to see it in one of the fabulous greenhouses, we walked round about half a dozen times, stopping to look at the Fuschia and passing the security guard.

My Dad said I was to go a bit in front of him and trip over and land on the guard's feet.

Ever the trusting soul and always eager to please Dad, I did so.

The guard helped me up and dusted me off but where was Dad.

I wandered round but I couldn't find him, so I walked outside. He was there waiting for me, asked if I was alright and then took me off to sit down away from the houses.

He then produced from his bag, a container of water, some small pots with soil, a tin of routing powder and a large sprig of the afore mentioned Fuschia.
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.
