  • Noisy time at Allotment

I went to my Lottie on Sunday, normaly a peaceful, quiet, birds singing little haven of tranquility, not on sunday oh no, in the not so far away distance noisy motorcross bikes went on for about four hours of constant revving etc and not just one bike at a time must have been a race, stopped just as i was about to come away. Couldnt get there yesterday raining, want to go today, hospital appointment and the sun is shining might get there tomorrow.

I know other people are allowed their enjoyment as much as myself but I must admit to being selfish and resent it when my tranquility is destroyed.

Well here's hoping it's not a to regular race meeting place.
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

I'm in my dotage now, and I'm finding excessive, unnecessary noise extremely stressful ... I dread weekends: a house full of screaming kids, blaring sport/cartoons on the TV, fighting Inlaws, shouting hubby, and 5 or 6 people going: "Can I have... can I do .... Julie, Julie, Ju-Ju" It does my absolute head in!

I relish Mondays when they've all gone home or to school/work, and I can go and potter on the lotty.

Yes the lotties are good, a place where I'm not called Dad, a place where I can do what I want to, a place where I rarely here "Can I have", "Can you just..." and a place where I seem to forget to take my mobile phone or it just well sort of turns off.

thought it was just me, I can't stand noise, I love peace and quiet at the lottie, it's my favourite place, I get really upset if it's noisy at my little haven.

Just managed to squeeze in a couple of hours at the lottie, a little bit of peace but someone was doing some work nearby.
Talking about noise I used to hate it when I went to work and other people's kids started screaming, I went to work to get away from my own kids.

Funny that, I always forget to take my phone to the lottie!
