and still totally shocked ..... was walking through town before when i heard a scream, turned round and there was an almighty thud as someone hit the floor and broke, that's the only way i can describe it ....... snapped like a stick ...... life must have got too much and this person had jumped off the car park roof ........ and landed feet first, so there was bits of bone and blood everywhere ..... its about the height of 3 houses ...... and the person was still alive, and horribly conscious ... it seemed like a year till the ambulance arrived .... i think the screams will haunt me for a very long time ...... what drives someone to do such things ..... a life ruined, i don't know if the person will make it, there was massive blood loss, but if they do, i very much doubt they will walk again ..... i can't stop shaking ..... and can't get that moment of impact out of my head ...... it's not what i was expecting, i only went for cat food ......

I saw a similar thing once when a dude calmly placed his head under the back wheel of a bus as it was pulling away. Not a pleasant sight.

That's really horrid for you.
You hear of some very sad/unhappy people who are often just released or escape/walkout from psychiatric hospitals to do this very kind of thing. You can't imagine the kind of turmoil their minds must be in to contemplate. Likely that after surviving the fall he'll be in a worse state than before as I wonder if he may lose part/all of his legs? Can only hope his mental state improves.
In the meantime you must take care of yourself and if you feel any untoward effects from such a nasty exeprience do seek help from the docs and/or a counsellor. Hope you get over this soonest.Comment

That must have been horrible, I feel sick & can't stop crying if I see a bird or an animal killed or injured, god knows what I'd be like if it was a person. The poor soul who jumped will probably be in a much worse state than before if they survive, hope they get the help they need if they do. Have a stiff drink Lynda & try not to dwell on it.Into every life a little rain must fall.Comment

I really don't think there was enough intact bone to save the legs there was a lot of bits on the floor...... but you have to be really desperate to jump off a building ....... i have no idea how you'd ever get over that
