    For DD teacher.
This is the fifth year I have had this teacher as she had DS for 4 years, and this is DD's second year with her (it is a 2 teacher school)
However, she is moving to a different school after this school year, so I have 2 weeks to get this one made. Teaching is a Work of the Heart from Lizzie Kate Counted Cross Stitch Designs
    Wish me luck!

Oooo that's a really lovely phrase... You've got me thinking of making one now for Mater Shortie's tacher (it's her first year in teaching so hope it'll be a nice entiment for her)

Good luck getting it done. I guess a couple of days (or 4 nights) but then I'm a night owl so get quite a bit of 'quiet time' when the boy go to bed

A friend of mine has just had her twin boys finishing up with one teacher and gave her a hand knitted facecloth with an apple design in the middle of it, wrapped around a fancy shower gel. It is another really lovely idea, and the pattern was all just knit and purl stitches - no fancy stuff at all. Another lovely idea I thought.

Thats lovely. Lauren's teacher has been great this year and something like that would be perfect. I'm not at all crafty though, and lack patience!! Will start looking out for something different than chocs for her as a goodbye/thanks present at the end of term.

Thats a lovely thought - I dont have any teachers to stitch for but I do enjoy cross stitch and the like. Cant wait to see a photo of the finished article?
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Probably a stupid question but what on earth does DD stand for - can think of several things but none in this context as I'm guessing it's something to do with a sprog.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

That's a lovely design. My best friend is an artist who works mainly with textiles and so she reckons that cross stitch is a bit beneath her. Even so I finally succumbed yesterday and bought one, - I'll just hide it when she comes round - Mine is of a garden and the reason I bought it is because I'm not managing to spend too much time in the real garden these days as it's constantly raining. I don't know about finishing it in days though, it'll probably take me months. At the moment it's all just a tangle of threads that need sorting into different colours, unfortunately a lot of them look alike to me and the only way I can think of doing the sorting properly is to ask for snobby pal's help. On second thoughts it'll probably take me years! I'm sure your daughter's teacher will love it. When I was teaching it was at secondary level and all we got at the end of term were eggs
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
