Can't quite get my head round this one. Our two bassets often accompany me to the lottie. Whilst there they sometimes find something none too savoury to roll in. My wife will then complain 'those dogs are a bit smelly it's time they had a bath'

I give them both a bath in a lovely fragrant insecticidle dog shampoo and when the wife comes home she immediately says 'urgh there's a wet dog smell in here'.

    I just can't win.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

Lol! It is a distinctive smell isn't it? But somehow quite homely too

I can't bath Boo for love nor money. She had a bad experience in a local stream as a pup and it's traumatised her, she shakes so bad we just won't do it. Max on t'other hand would get in the bath with you if you let him which was cute when he was a baby puppy, but now he is a 25kg+ puppy its not quite so cute!!
Wet dog smell soon morphs into clean dog smell though.
