Never again! as luck would have it a new version of the software I normally use came out, and a fast install, 25 mins, a few updates and then it found all my old data. Now every thing works! .. and it was FREE No it not Windows XP but Ubuntu 8.04! I wish I had never tried Vista! anyway alls well now

    Hi Steve
We had loads of problems with VIsta when we first got it, but after some fiddling around we get on quite well with it now. I think the trouble is, lots of programs which worked fine on XP have to be updated to work with Vista but then aren't backwards compatible again so your old docs etc turn to gobbledegook Like I said, ours is fine now we've downloaded a few updates. I've never heard of Ubuntu though!

The Vista 64Bit is great....also runs all your 32bit apps. Microsofts best package since 3.11WFW.

But still its only a copy of OS2.
