What has everyone planted/going to plant this weekend?

Great thread I was thinking much the same this afternoon, I have bits in the minigreenhouse but they are nowhere near ready to go out yet, what is everyone planning on for the rest of the year and how far along are you all. So far I have some cabbages in the lottie, broad beans, onions, garlic , strawberries. At home I have pots in bags (too many to cope with last year) and a raised bed for radishes and salad crops to keep the slugs off more easily.

Well this is a great thread, OH and I have been particularly busy and planted out garlic, sprouts, cauli's, courgettes and onions. We also spent the afternoon seiving compost from the compost heap and managed to fill 3 compost bags full.That should keep us going for a little while.

Spuds, my earlies in pots are well and truely up and running, they are about 2 feet tall now. Maincrops put in about 3 weeks ago aren't doing well at all, with only 1 breaking the surface which is a bit disappointing but will wait and see what happens. Now relaxing with a nice glass of white

Earlies in greenhouse growing well. Earlies outdoors haven't shown yet. Planted 2nd earlies today, Kestrel, supposed to be slug resistant, we'll see!

I'll wait until beginning of May for maincrops. Cabbages planted a few days ago just starting to perk up a bit. Just planted 60 gladioli corms. Loads of other stuff in, onion sets,garlic,bored beans, shallots,strawberries and soft fruit and hard fruit doing well! Still cropping leeks,various kales, winter cabbage and even had a boiling of last years beetroot which was rather tasty and not woody at all.

Potatoes in clamp are starting to sprout a bit now but are still quite edible!
Greenhouses bulging with all manner of plants.

been cracking weather here today,have got sun burnt oops!.have weeded all my back garden then set about sowing some tendergreen bean and yellow bean seed.also sown and herb trough,and sown baby leeks in a long trough as well sown chinese cabbage in the raised bed and planted out one moneymaker and one gardeners delight tomato plant out in the flower border,gowing to plant out 3 courgette plants under a cloche tommorow. have also repotted my pepita cucumber and put in in the unheated greenhouse.also repotted a chilli pepper and moved some tomato seedlings into the unheated greenhouse.

Finally managed to get to the lottie!! Had to take grandson (3 years old), but managed to get my first early spuds in (Arran Pilot). Did some more digging as I'm seriously short of space. Got loads of stuff in the greenhouse at home waiting to go out, Summer Sprouting broccoli, lettuce etc. Sowed some more chillies today (indoors), also courgettes. Also sowed runner beans in toilet roll inners (Polestar) - they will stay in the greenhouse until ready to go on the lottie.

Sowed my carrots, beetroot and spring onions today and planted my potatoes aswell today maris peer, charlotte and red duke of york. All in pots.

Have sewn my winter Kale seeds into modules today. I am planing on them being my main winter leaf crop, and as you just crop the leaves when needed leaving more to grow back i will see how i get on with just 12 plants. It does seem strange planning for next winters crops already though

1st earlies are through, 2nd earlies too, no sign of main crop yet but they only went in a couple of weeks ago.
I will be cropping a few bonus potato plants that have appeared from the potato peelings of my bean compost trench soon by the look of it though, plus when i took the lid off the compost bin last week i have another bonus crop growing in there too.

Yay for bonus spuds !!

Dug over the root veg bed today, and found half of it is really sandy [yeah]. So sowing straight into it tomorrow[ carrot/onion/coriander mix with leeks around the outside.

Main spuds are doing in tomorrow as well; if it doesn't tip it down!

My Pak Choi, in containers, have been out for a couple of weeks, and doing great. Will post a pic tomorrow. Red onions are well on their way and mixed salad leaves are getting there.
Lots outside in modules, but nothing ready for planting out tomorrow. Will try for some pics.
Will everyone else post theirs. Even if it's only cabbage seedlings I like to se them. What a freak !

Planted out my runner beans yesterday,took the chance after seeing that 6 other plot holders had done it, and now it is tipping down with rain hope they survive.

I planted out and fleeced the French beans, broadies and peas (all dwarf varieties) that had been in the plastic planthouse yesterday. Today I will probably do direct sowings of more peas, broadies and borlotti beans, carrot & salad onions and fleece those too.

If it stops raining today i plan on planting sweetcorn and the last of the squashes from the greenhouse and then this will be the last of the spring planting .

Here's my Pak Choi and red onions planted outisde in a container - so i think they're doing OK. And my first bed in my new garden. It's not much but it's a start.
