  • As I've Matured...I've learned.

That you cannot make someone love you.

That one good turn gets most of the blankets.

That no matter how much I care about something, some people can't see where I'm coming from.

That it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

That whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.

That you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they're more screwed up than you.

That depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

That it is not what you wear; it is how you carry it off.

That age is a very high price to pay for maturity.

That we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

That artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

That there is a fine line between genius and insanity.

That the people you care most about in life are either taken from you too soon or don't care back.

I really dont think there is a possitive correlation between age and maturity. I know there are many people who are old or older than me and are not mature at all.

    I certainly agree with -

It doesnt matter how much I try to explain to my family why I buy organic and free range and only use natural cleaning products and why I recycle, they just dont get it and think Im barking!

I guess part of growing up is realising that not everybody even your own family is going to accept what makes you you. The most important thing is that you accept what makes you you and embrase it.

Second daughter was due to get engaged to her lovelly fella a few years back - they'd planned everything for the Sunday night, but he stepped off a bus and was killed on the Friday night. Worst nightmare time of our lives. its taken a while but she is with someone else now but she's lost something of the spark that use to be Charlie.
