    Planting asparagus times

    Hi there - I ordered 3 crowns back in February for a March/April delivery. When I called this week asking about them, I was told I wouldnt get them till end of April!! (maybe mid, if I'm lucky ) Isnt this getting late for planting out? Should I cancel and buy some elsewhere?

    I don't think it matters that much to be honest- you're not going to be able to crop them for a couple of years anyway.

    Just plant them as soon as you get them so the roots don't dry out ( soak them in a bucket of water for a couple of hours first)

    The soil will have warmed up a bit more by then too!
