  • I'm so happy happy happy

Yes its finally happened, I'm getting my first greenhouse 8x6. (2nd hand). Its got the staging and the paving slabs all complete in the price.

I cant wait, Its got the Halls label on it, with the edging at the bottom of the greenhouse. So excited

I've wanted a greenhouse since I was a little girl. Now I've got the garden, the pond and the greenhouse soon to be in situ.

Just had to share it with you

P.s It takes a lot for me to be happy!

    Two bits of advice...

Buy new glass clips and extra sq head bolts

Because the old clips then to snap when you try to refit the galss an they are all rusty...It can be nasty.

When you put the uprights in. put some extra sq head bolts in. So later when you want to hang you thermometer or what ever the bolt is there.

Are you totally dismantlying it? If so do you have the instruction book.

Cos a lot of the bits look alike.

i went to my plot yesterday lunchtime, my greenhouse had slid about six inches across the paving slabs, no broken glass though so drove a couple of stakes in the ground to stop it moving further, i'm not off work now until saturday so fingers crossed

im very sure you will enjoy your greenhouse, but beware one is never enough , you first look at it thinking that it is big enough, but then your ambitions will take over and you start thinking about pineapples/grapes etc and then it seems too small and you start thinking where to put the next one. i love my two greenhouses, wouldn't do without them but you worry worse than having kids when you have seedlings/frosts/high winds etc.

be sure to post some piccies when it's up

You'll have hours of fun there I can assure you. My late Dad bought me mine when we moved here and it's my best toy (well, next to my sewing machine!)

Enjoy your new green house NSB, I'm sure you'll have hours of fun in there! I'm hoping to get one in the not too distant future, like you have been dreaming of having one for ages!

I'm very greenvious of your greenhouse, I'm sure you'll have hours/days/weeks/months maybe even years of good times.

I was over the moon when I bought my mini greenhouse last year, and wondered why I'd waited so long to put it up (only put it up last weekend). Sounds very posh, make sure to post piccies when you get it.
