Hi, my name's Andy and i'd forgotten all about this forum. Looks like i joined about 4 years ago.

Anyway, im a head gardener for Britain's largest municiple rock garden which is situated on the main A23 into Brighton. Been a gardener for 31 years doing an apprenticeship with Brighton parks and eventually taking over the beautiful palm house at the council's nursery.

Had 5 years working for Rentokil Tropical Plants before rejoining Brighton City parks and working at the superb Preston Rock garden.

Enjoy growing stuff at home, i have a conservatory full of chillis, herbs and large Brugmansias, got a 10 x 8 greenhouse which is used to grow bedding plants in early spring before the Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Peppers etc take over. had a super bumper harvest of everything this year.

Just got myself half an allotment....just the right size for me at the moment and i take that over in October. Will be using that for mainly root crops and a few winter sprouts etc.

Apart from all that, im a keen coarse fisherman, love cooking, visit as many gardens as possible (im a member of the RHS and have some wonderful gardens on my doorstep) and generally enjoy going out for a few pints of Harvey's Best ale and a damn good curry.
Please visit my facebook page for the garden i look after

I know the one you mean. It has a erm, 'reputation' for night-time activities (which don't include a lot of gardening )
