  • New Veg plots

Hello folks from Wiltshire, I'm very new to gardening and learning all the time, I hope to grow mainly veg in raised beds.
I've recently cut 3 new veg plots in my lawn. I found out after I dug and manured the beds that the best thing I could have done with the turves was to bury them while digging. Anyone any ideas how I can use them, they are currently stacked grass side down at the end of my garden

Cover them over, let them rot for a year and they make a wonderful addition to John Innes type composts where it calls for a 'fibrous loam'!

I'm really lazy, so when I dug up some of my lawn, I just turned the turves over and planted into them... they are rotting down nicely now.
