A quick hello from stockport, love what I have seen of the site so far.

Considering Stockport/Manchester are famous for a never ending down pour of rain we haven't had any here for well over a week, where is the best (read cheepest) place to get a water butt from please??

welcome i'm new too ....... have you tried freecycle? i've seen a few on there or maybe gumtree, dunno anywhere to buy one from, i never buy anything i can get for free lol

Yep used to be a member of freecycle but the mean few who reply for all items offered and then sell on really put me off. I will keep my eye out for ads in the local shops, I may get lucky.

try putting a wanted ad on you might be lucky :-)

i found that when i advertised stuff, i put names for everything in a hat and drew them out, so no one got more than one thing, you could tell then the ones wanting to sell on .... cos they didn't come to collect their one item
