  • Hello from sunny Morecambe

Thought i would introduce myself as i am new here, first started growing veg as a kid, now 45 and thought i would get back into it as my back garden is 22ft by 87ft and only has hedging.

Just started digging a 10ftx5ft area to surround with scaffold planks, need to find second hand scaffold planks now...haha

Going to start off with cauliflowers, iceberg lettuce and carrots which i will start to germinate in my tiny little greenhouse.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Hello, and welcome to the Vine.

For scaffold planks, try contacting local scaffolding firms.

Interesting selection of veg. Caulis and lettuce can be started in a greenhouse, but carrots need to be sown direct where they will grow.

Hello and welcome corporates. Happy growing
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
