  • Hello from sunny Hastings!

Found this site whilst looking for free seed swaps. It seems I have to make 50 posts before I can swap anything, so prepare to be sick of the sight of me!!
I have had my plot for over a year now, but I have lots to learn so this site looks really helpful. The biggest problem we have here is defending our crops against the badgers - last year they ate my entire crop of carrots. Apparently I was silly to even try to grow carrots! My peas nearly all disappeared too. Ah well, you live and learn...

Hello Hellybore - welcome to the Vine.

We have a VSP (Virtual Seed Parcel) and I don't think the 50 post rule applies to that. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

Hello and a very warm if somewhat belated welcome to the Vine from me. I'm sorry, I usually keep up with introductions, but seed sowing must have got in the way. Enjoy yourself, it's lovely on here as I'm sure you'll find Lovely part of the world, my sister lived in Bexhill for a good many years. Sorry to hear you're plagued by badgers, that must be a pain.

If badgers eat carrots, does that mean they taste like rabbit?

Are you mad? Badgers aren't nearly as tasty!
