Default Hello all

Hi everyone, ive just been given a large raised bed at my local allotments today and am 3rd on the list for an allotment. I feel i will be on here a lot as im a growing virgin so to speak

Not too long as some people in front of me only want specific sites when they become available, i will make do with my new raised bed approx 30ft x 6ft

A bed that size is a great start. It's bigger than the space many people have in their gardens.

Hi, onions,leeks,potato's, lettuce,Carrots,Radish etc. Just spent 2 hours up there forking up the knee high weeds Mairs tale etc. The soil is rich and extremely easy to fork into. Got about 8-9ft up the plot cleared so far
