Default Another one enters the fray

Hiya all, we are very new to this, have completed my first year of allotmenteering, getting ourselves blighted potatoes, soggy onions, crows that ate it before it got out of the ground ( whatever it was), but we enjoyed every minute of it.

It was not all doom and gloom though, our Rhubarb was a delight or was it a fool, our runners are still running out of the freezer and getting onto our plates, the spuds that survived are still being eaten, as is the garlic, and dried strawberries still make a pleasant addition to my cereal.

Hopefully this year will not mean waders at dawn, midday and dusk and we get to see what everyone tells me is a wonderful hobby, not that we dont already think it is.

Hello and welcome Nilocck

I'm quite near you (Lincoln) so had a similarly wet experience last year (along with many other Grapes).

Onwards and upwards though!

Nice to have you aboard. It's GOT to be better this year (triumph of hope over experience!)

Hi
Shame the weather was bad in your first year but whatever disasters the weather throws at us picking your first pea and wandering around your plot eating it makes up for all the disasters you have to cope with. Good luck this year
