  • Are you a patient gardener?

Last year was my first year gardening. I wanted everything so happen so quickly - instant results. Wise grapes whispered the words 'be patient'.

Now this is my second year, I am much more accepting of the fact that some things just take time. Are you a patient gardener?

Well........to get good onions you NEED to be patient.

Other stuff, courgettes, salad leaves etc, help me to crave that 'grow faster' feeling.

And Goji berries, it took 9 months to even germinate them. Ho humm......

Ahhh - poor Mikey - still got your sense of humour though!

I reckon patience comes with age. I've been growing veg for more years than I care to remember and now I am very happy NOT to plant out my corn, beans, courgettes etc until the end of May!

Starting new fruit bushes - rasps, gooseberries - requires two years for a crop.. So yes I am patient.

I just wish the weather would warm up. Cold (13C here)

I have surprised myself at my patience this year.... i'm desperate to put my toms, chilli's peppers etc out but i'm scared i'm gonna lose them in the cold so i'm waiting patiently, they have been in at night and out all day for weeks now though........

On no, I thought I was becoming more patient, now it would seem I'm just getting old.

I am more patient this year also my second year of growing veg. Last year I spent most days at my lottie cos I thought I had to or I would get kicked off lol. This year though I have hardley been there no reasons really just letting things take their time to come up, not panicking if they dont. Just because I havent been there doest'nt mean its not worked cos it is. Spent six hours there yesterday.

Well if I am, I can't see why you can't?
