  • The World's Gone Mad // 2

Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, I really do, but there's no denying that you're quite often forced to do things you don't want to do (and in this year's case have had no desire to do for more than 30 years, I'm thinking specifically here about me and Mr BM having to squash into a single-bed tomorrow night as more guests are arriving than we'd actually calculated for) I've already spent more time in a supermarket and watching T.V. in the last week than I have for the rest of the year in total. Thanks to Snadger I've managed to have a bit of a rant about the shopping. But what about the telly? Every advert is for perfume. Whaaaat? How on earth can you choose a perfume with the aid of T.V.? I can't think of a more pointless waste of everyone's time and money. The world truly has gone mad!

My decision only to watch TV on record and to fast forward the ads...seems to be a good one.

We watched something the other day and it wasn't on record - and I had to leave the room each ad break. I hate it with a vengeance.

Can't wait for the Royle Family though...

Absolutely agree with you about perfume ads - I think they assume we're all dopey.

                  me too.
Even if a programme is on that I want to see, I record it so that I can skip the adverts and boring bits.
