  • Wish us luck please...

Well, here we go, the first official HoneyJukes jukebox rental is tomorrow!! Our '57 Wurlitzer 2104 jukebox has been requested to attend a wedding where the bride goes to her marriage in a '59 Cadillac de Ville and bride and groom go from wedding to reception in a '49 Chevrolet flatbed truck!!!

To say we are anxious is a bit of an understatement - the record list has been checked three times, the machine has been tested to destruction (well, you know what I mean) and we are even taking the '55 Seeburg big V just in case. Not sure if Madmax has any fingernails left.

    Are we mad or what?!

..... actually, don't answer that question please
    Happy Gardening,
    Shirley

    WOW

If the bride and groom's clothes are also vintage; what a brilliant photo opportunity. What a great wedding - are you staying to 'look after the jukebox'...?

Sounds a great idea - do you get to travel to the venue as part of the 'support' deal?

        OMG

Seriously, you don't need any luck - what a wonderful wedding they must be having.

Are you able to take pictures? I'll bet the Bride and groom will look stunning.

Everything crossed for you - and Max, leave your nails alone

Not sure about their clothing but a good photo opportunity to be sure. The groom is a friend of Madmax's so yes we are invited to the bash.

Indeed so, and the reception venue is one of the most 'nobby' places around so hopefully we will get noticed a bit. Busy printing fliers as I type!!

Ooooh, good luck Shirley & Madmax I'm sure it'll all go smoothly - I hope you get some good repeat business from it. They're probably just being temperamental divas before the big night

Well, now that BT has sorted out the broadband (again - wonder how long for this time) and all that.

The jukeboxes were kept pretty busy all afternoon from 2 until the disco started around 9.30. We had loads of people asking about them - where we got them etc. Madmax had prepared a little book showing the condition of the machines when we got them and some of the work he had done to restore them.

Loads of people had photos taken with the 'boxes and I will post one of the bride and groom later (Madmax has the memory stick with him at work).

Thanks for all the good wishes - I am sure they helped
